To correctly prepare and calculate the income tax return, the following documents are required:

  1. Residence (on both sides) of all family members who live under the same home address: spouses, children, elderly parents…
  2. Spanish account number: IBAN
  3. Acquisition of real estate – as a permanent residence: a. date of acquisition; b. notary fees + registration; c. mortgage, monthly quotas and expenses (official) when obtaining a mortgage (notary, registration,…); d. improvement work carried out: repairs, painting..- official receipts for expenses = invoices (facturas); e. Mortgage, when it was signed and the amount paid during the past year (send the receipts themselves)
  4. Cadastral number of your real estate objects. The main thing: how many owners, who and the shares of each.
  5. Income received OUTSIDE Spain – I recommend declaring it, the amount received outside Spain and the taxes paid there.
  6. Renting out real estate:
    — for long-term rent: details of individuals who rented from you, as well as the location of the property, cadastral number and dates of rent, monthly rent payment
    — for the tourist season: exact dates of rent, tax number of the company/individuals from whom the money was received and the amounts
    Also expenses for your real estate that was rented out: insurance, property tax, condominium expenses (water, electricity, communidad…) corresponding receipts for expenses for the rental periods
  7. If you are renting a property, the contract was drawn up before 01/01/2015, then: details of the owner who is renting – document number (DNI, NIE, passport…), and the amount you pay for rent per month.
  8. If there is someone who has some % of disability, also elderly people living with you, for example parents, also their data – which depends on you
  9. Purchase and sale of a car, a document-contract with the purchase and sale amounts.
  10. If you worked:
    — hired, data on deductions from the employer / document on dismissal;— if you worked/work, have an individual entrepreneur or a company, deductions that you paid- Also, only for individual entrepreneurs – private health insurance: if you did not write off as expenses during the year, a receipt for payment
  11. If you sold shares: what date you bought them, the amount you bought them for, the date you sold them, the amount you sold them for, the name of the shares.
  12. If you operated with crypto assets: bought or exchanged within the platform: for what amount, what crypto, what day of the month – date. If you sold – similarly, if the funds were withdrawn to a Spanish account. Also if you exchanged from one currency to another: the name of which was changed to which, and the amount.
  13. Also (with their respective limits):• Payment of membership or entrance fees for:

    — gyms; — sports clubs; — sports federations; — sports and fitness groups; — sports or sports and fitness sections of other non-sports organizations; — sports and fitness groups; — associations of federations; -sports limited liability companies.

    • Purchase of mandatory equipment for federal sports.

    • Personal training services provided by sports coaches and instructors.

    • Personal services provided by:

    — traumatologists; — dietitians-nutritionists; — physiotherapists; — podiatrists; — higher specialists in dietetics.

You may also provide any other additional information regarding your family, business, etc. that you think may be useful to us.

Also, if you filed a declaration last year, the previous declaration.
